“Stayed for four nights in late April and couldn't have wished for a better experience. Hotel Staats is less than five minutes' walk from the railway/bus station in a very pleasant and quiet area of Haarlem. However it's only a 10 minute walk into the centre of the old town so within easy access of everything. Hot tip: if you're flying into AMS get the 300 bus, which is fast and so conveniently located at both ends. Payment is just tap-in/tap-out on the bus. The hotel is a beautiful building which has been renovated in a delightful and quirky style. Our room was fabulous. Breakfasts are excellent and we ate a couple of lovely evening meals in the bistro. What really lifted the whole experience to the next level was the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff who were, without exception, keen to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Thanks so much! We'll definitely stay here if we're back in Haarlem and we have no hesitation highly recommending this hotel.”

“Absolutely spectacular room (room 1 if you can get it). Beaufort historical building that used to be an elementary school. Service was great, bar is funky and breakfast is great. Close to centraal station . Definitely the place to stay in Haarlem.”

“This hotel was a fantastic experience! Short 4 minutes walk from train station. Generously accommodated an early check-in. The room was excellent, though the bed slightly firm. Very clean throughout. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, crepes, etc.”

“The hotel is in a nice neighborhood convenient to walk to the centrum and has a common space that stays open until the restaurant closes. The room was on the top floor and was nicely appointed with space to play cards and eat salads from Jumbos. However, we are a little older and have some mobility issues so the stairs were a bit of a struggle for us. Nevertheless it was a great place to stay for a couple of nights while recovering from jet lag! We had the breakfast one morning, which was delicious. The chef made beautifully plated pancakes for us. The staff were friendly and helpful.”
